This is by far our most popular Vitamin E and the level most often recommended by nutritionists, many of whom believe that Vitamin E is one of the most important antioxidant in our bodies. Vitamin E is found in every cell of the body and research has indicated that it plays an important role in maintaining cardiovascular health as it helps to prevent the good polyunsaturated fats from being oxidised into saturated fats.

We use only natural Vitamin E as it is known to have a much higher potency than the cheaper synthetic version of the vitamin (called dl-tocopheryl). As vitamin E is easily destroyed in food these easy to swallow vegetarian capsules ensure that you don’t miss out on this excellent antioxidant.

We use natural vitamin E which is extracted and purified from sunflower seed oil, because natural vitamin E has a higher absorption rate than the cheaper synthetic forms. We also insist our natural vitamin E must come from non-GM sources, whereas some natural vitamin E products sold by other companies comes from genetically modified soya, as GM soya is now widely grown in the USA.

Supplements are like foods when it comes to ‘best before’ dates and the date on the back of the label is there to show you how much longer you have before the supplement must be consumed. With exposure to moisture, and over time, nutrients often degrade. At Nature’s Best the best before date means the product will still contain the nutrient levels given on the label(with a few percent difference permitted each way) on that date, as long as the product has been kept in a cool dry place.

We also use small pots, holding less tablets, where we feel there may be a product that is vulnerable to moisture.

It is quite legal for supplements to be made overseas as bulk, then packed in the UK and given a UK or Channel Island address. However, we think consumers have the right to know where their supplements are made. Our pots carry our UK quality mark which is your assurance that the product inside has been genuinely made, not just packed in the UK, in factories working to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
